Why Couples Choose Qrated for Their Dubai Wedding

A desert wedding takes more than a nice backdrop. It takes real local knowledge, the kind that comes from doing it repeatedly, not once. That includes couples planning a destination wedding in Dubai from overseas, not just those already living here.

1

Qrated has planned more desert weddings than almost anyone else in Dubai, and the same team handles our private desert venues, the government approvals and the day itself

2

Ankur Bagga personally oversees every wedding from the first consultation onward, not a rotating cast of coordinators

3

We handle the full government wedding and event permit process directly, so couples never have to deal with the paperwork themselves

4

We've planned Nikah ceremonies and other multicultural, multi-faith weddings, working with each family's traditions rather than a single fixed format

One team, every tradition, no guesswork.

Two More Ways to Marry in Dubai

Resort Buyout

Take the whole property, or a whole wing and its grounds, for three or four days. Mehendi by the pool, ceremony on the lawn, reception in the ballroom, after party in the beach club. Nobody drives anywhere between functions, which solves the real problem in a large wedding: two hundred guests who need beds, breakfasts, transfers and somewhere to sit between events.

It's often cheaper per guest than the same wedding spread across three separate venues, once you count transport, duplicated build costs and a second night's décor.

The catch: minimum spend is real, and it moves with the calendar. A resort prices a buyout against the revenue it's giving up, so a quiet Tuesday in May and a Saturday in December are two different conversations. You also inherit the property's own kitchen, so if your family has a specific caterer in mind, that needs agreeing before the contract, not after.

Best for: multi-function weddings with guests travelling in, 80 to 600 people. Venues we work with for this: Bab Al Shams, Al Maha, One&Only Royal Mirage, and select resorts in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.

Island Buyout

Take an entire island and the wedding stops being an evening. It becomes a weekend where your closest people can't go home, can't run into strangers at breakfast and gradually stop checking their phones.

Zaya Nurai Island, a short boat ride off Saadiyat, is all villas and white sand, comfortable for around 300 guests across its beaches and lawns. The signature moment is the arrival: guests step off a boat instead of out of a taxi, and that sets the tone for the whole weekend before anyone's had a drink.

The catch: bed count, not guest count, is the real ceiling. An all-villa island sleeps far fewer people than it can seat for dinner, so a larger reception usually means most guests come over for the day and leave that night, on a schedule the tide and the boat captain control. Every supplier, every crate of flowers, arrives by boat too, which stretches the build window.

Best for: two to four day celebrations, 40 to 300 guests. Book 12 to 18 months out. There's only one Zaya Nurai.

Before the Wedding Week Starts

Most of our couples come to us for more than the wedding day itself. We plan the celebrations around it too.

Planning the Proposal First

Before the wedding, there's the proposal. We run bespoke beach, desert, rooftop, yacht and hot air balloon proposals in Dubai, planned with the same discretion and production standard as the wedding that follows.

Bachelor & Bachelorette Parties

Most wedding parties run a separate celebration before the wedding week starts. We plan VIP stag parties, desert adventures and Dubai nightlife on one side, and bachelorette hen parties, desert experiences and girls' night itineraries on the other, each with its own dedicated planner.

Pre-Wedding Photography

Most couples build in a pre-wedding shoot a few weeks out: romantic editorial sessions against Dubai's desert golden hour, skyline or marina, styled with props and florals, shot by the same team covering the wedding itself.

Six Ways to Style a Dubai Wedding

Most couples land between two of these. The useful conversation isn't picking one, it's working out which one wins where they disagree.

DirectionPaletteWhat it's built ofBest for
Kosha
Mass-floral or fretwork backdrop, one sculpted seat, mirrored floor, cool architectural lightArabic stage-led ceremonies, any guest count
White & Green
Ivory roses and hydrangea, eucalyptus, candlelight at three heights, glass and goldThe safest direction and the hardest to get right, because nothing hides a weak detail
Pampas & Palm
Dried pampas, bleached palm, elevated stands, circular archesWeddings over 200 guests, where low table florals just disappear from the back of the room
Boho Chic
Terracotta, rattan, raw timber, bleached linenDaylight weddings on sand or grass. Loses its warmth under a ballroom lighting rig
Colour Splash
Saturated seasonal blooms, mixed vessels, painted stationeryDaytime and garden weddings, where sunlight does the work an uplighter would otherwise have to do
Desi Dreams
Marigold and rose at volume, mirror, gold, suspended floral ceilingsSouth Asian ceremonies, 150 to 800 guests. Restraint reads as under-decorated here, not elegant

A seventh, Desert Moroccan (oxblood, terracotta and antique brass lanterns), is currently the most requested direction for henna and mehendi nights specifically.

Planning a Multi-Day Wedding Week

A five-function wedding isn't one large event. It's five separate builds, each with its own crew call and its own way of going wrong, run across four days by the same planner who knows where the power is on every one of them.

DayFunctionWhat it needs
OneWelcome dinnerRelaxed seated dinner, light entertainment. Usually the only evening both families meet before the pressure starts
TwoMehendi / HennaLong dwell time. Shade, airflow and comfortable floor seating matter more than the backdrop
ThreeSangeet / HaldiThe loudest night. A real stage, real sound, a rehearsed running order
FourCeremonyNikkah, mandap, or civil ceremony. Everything else that day moves around the timing, not the other way round
FourReceptionEntrance, speeches, first dance, cake. The one function where a technical rehearsal isn't optional
FiveFarewell brunchNo production, no schedule. The function guests remember talking through

Where two functions land on the same day at the same venue, the turnaround between them is the hardest hour of the week, harder than any single function on its own. We plan that as a build in its own right, with its own crew call, not as a gap between two other things.

Guest logistics across a week, arrivals, hotel blocks, transfers, welcome bags, a schedule everyone can actually find, get handled as one workstream rather than function by function. It's the thing families discover late if nobody's planned for it from day one.

Starting points: a henna or mehendi function on its own runs from AED 70,000. A full multi-day wedding week, 150 to 400 guests, starts from AED 450,000. Design and production only, without full planning, starts from AED 60,000.

What Our Clients Say

We still can't believe it was real. Our families haven't stopped talking about it. Thank you for the most beautiful weekend of our lives ❤️

About 68% of couples in the UAE go 20 to 40% over their initial budget, usually from last-minute additions. We build that buffer into every estimate up front.

How a Wedding Gets Planned

  1. 1

A call, not a form. What the day has to feel like, what the date can move around, and the real budget. A price estimate follows within 24 hours.

  2. 2

Venue shortlist. Two or three options, costed against your actual guest count, with the catch on each one spelled out before you fall in love with anything.

  3. 3

Design direction. One written page: palette, florals, linen, light, stationery. Everything after gets measured against it.

  4. 4

Budget and contract. Line by line, no "price on application" anywhere, payments tied to supplier deposits rather than arbitrary dates.

  5. 5

Production. Suppliers, permits, guest logistics, run sheets, technical drawings, crew calls.

  6. 6

The day itself. Build supervised, full rehearsal before doors open, Ankur on comms until de-rig.

On the day, neither of you should be answering a question. If a supplier's looking for the bride, we've failed.

Frequently Asked Questions

We specialise in luxury desert weddings, yacht ceremonies, beach celebrations, and elegant indoor receptions. Every wedding is bespoke-designed around your vision, guest count, and preferred style, whether intimate or grand.
We work with exclusive private desert locations featuring pristine dunes, dramatic sunset backdrops, and complete privacy. Our team handles all venue logistics including permits, power, lighting, and guest access.
Our full-service packages include venue design, décor and styling, catering coordination, entertainment, photography and videography, lighting, transport, guest management, and day-of coordination. Every detail is managed by our dedicated planning team.
We recommend booking 3 to 6 months in advance for most weddings, and 6 to 12 months for peak season (October-March). This allows time for venue securing, vendor coordination, and bespoke design work.
Yes, many couples choose a desert ceremony followed by a luxury yacht reception cruising Dubai Marina. We coordinate the full transition including transport, décor continuity, and entertainment across both venues.
Cost depends on guest count, venue and season. A beach ceremony for thirty and a desert wedding for two hundred are different projects. We send a full, itemised price estimate within 24 hours of your enquiry. See the typical cost breakdown above for a general range, or read our full breakdown of real Dubai event costs on the blog.
Yes. We handle the full government wedding and event permit process directly, alongside venue access, power and lighting, so couples never have to deal with the paperwork themselves.
Yes. We've planned Nikah ceremonies and other multicultural, multi-faith weddings, working with each family's traditions rather than a single fixed format.
Most wedding planners hand you off to a coordinator once the contract is signed. Ankur Bagga runs every wedding personally, from the first call to the last dance, and handles the government permit process directly rather than passing it to a third party. That, combined with real experience across Nikah, multicultural and multi-faith ceremonies, is what 300+ couples have booked us for since 2020.
Yes. We regularly plan destination weddings for couples based outside the UAE. Our team handles every on-the-ground requirement in Dubai, venue visits, supplier meetings and permit approvals, so you can plan the wedding without being here for most of it.
October to March is peak wedding season, when temperatures are comfortable for outdoor desert and beach ceremonies. Dubai summers regularly pass 45°C, which is why we also offer indoor wedding options with the exact same level of design and execution.
Yes. We've planned everything from small private ceremonies to celebrations for 500 guests, with the same standard of planning either way.
Our beach weddings include private beachfront venue sourcing, ceremony and reception styling designed for sand and sea air, sunset-timed scheduling, catering, and full permit and logistics handling, the same complete service as our desert and yacht weddings.
Full planning and production, from venue search to the last dance, usually runs from AED 60,000 for design and production only, up to AED 450,000 or more for a full multi-day wedding week. A single-function wedding at a hotel or resort for 100 to 200 guests typically starts around AED 180,000. We give you a real number early, not a range, once we know your date and guest count.
It depends more on guest count and venue than almost anything else. An intimate wedding for around 50 guests typically runs AED 120,000 to 200,000. A classic wedding for 100 to 150 guests runs AED 200,000 to 400,000. A grand celebration for 200 to 300-plus guests starts around AED 400,000. About 68% of couples in the UAE end up spending 20 to 40% over their original budget, usually because the guest list or the floral brief grows after the first number's agreed.
Yes. Dubai is home base, but we plan weddings across the UAE, including Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. The same team, the same government permit process, and the same level of care apply wherever in the UAE your wedding happens.
No, and that's deliberate. A fixed package forces your wedding into someone else's guest count and venue. We quote every wedding individually against your actual guest list, venue and season, then send a real, itemised estimate within 24 hours. See the typical cost breakdown above for the market ranges we work within.
